Plagiarism Policy

At the International Journal of Advanced Biochemistry Research Noosphere, we are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and originality in scholarly publishing. Plagiarism in any form is strictly prohibited and is considered a serious breach of academic ethics. This policy outlines our procedures for preventing, identifying, and managing plagiarism at all stages of the submission and publication process.

Definition of Plagiarism
Plagiarism occurs when an author presents someone else’s work, ideas, or expressions as their own without appropriate credit. This includes, but is not limited to:

  1. Copying text, data, figures, tables, or images without proper citation
  2. Using substantial parts of another’s work without permission or acknowledgment
  3. Rephrasing or paraphrasing someone else's ideas without citation
  4. Self-plagiarism, which is the reuse of one’s own previously published content without citing the original source

Plagiarism Detection
Every manuscript submitted to the International Journal of Advanced Biochemistry Research Noosphere is screened for plagiarism using advanced detection software before it enters the peer review process. Similarity reports are generated, and manuscripts are assessed based on the percentage of overlapping content with published literature.

Handling Plagiarism
Based on the level of plagiarism detected, the journal follows a tiered response:

  1. Less than 5 percent: The manuscript will be assigned a manuscript ID and returned to the author with a request for minor revisions.
  2. 5 percent to 15 percent: The manuscript will not receive a manuscript ID. The author will be notified and asked to correct the identified issues before resubmission.
  3. More than 15 percent: The manuscript will be rejected without review. Authors must significantly revise the content and may submit it as a new manuscript after proper corrections.

Rejection Due to High Plagiarism (More than 30 percent)
If the plagiarism level exceeds 30 percent, the manuscript will be rejected outright. Authors whose submissions contain a high percentage of unoriginal material are deemed to have violated the journal’s publication standards. However, they may resubmit after making substantial and verifiable changes.

Post-Publication Plagiarism
If plagiarism is discovered after an article has been published, the International Journal of Advanced Biochemistry Research Noosphere will take appropriate action, which may include:

  1. Conducting an internal investigation
  2. Notifying the author’s institution and funding bodies
  3. Marking each page of the article PDF to indicate the presence of plagiarism
  4. Issuing a formal retraction of the article if warranted

Author Responsibility
By submitting to the International Journal of Advanced Biochemistry Research Noosphere, authors affirm that their work is original, properly cited, and has not been published elsewhere. Authors are expected to differentiate between quoting, paraphrasing, and citing appropriately. Failure to meet these standards, whether intentional or accidental, will be treated as a serious ethical violation.

Self-Plagiarism
Authors must avoid self-plagiarism by properly citing their previous work when reused. Copying large portions from their own published articles without citation is unacceptable and will be treated as plagiarism.

Ethical Commitment to Originality
The International Journal of Advanced Biochemistry Research Noosphere is committed to promoting ethical scholarship. All authors are required to submit only original work and to credit all sources clearly and accurately. The journal reserves the right to request clarification or supporting documentation if any questions regarding originality arise.
